Barriers to researcher's mobility
During the spring of 2006, ERA-MORE Norway arranged five regional seminars across Norway to raise awareness and inform about ERA-MORE and issues related to researcher's mobility.
Nearly 100 individuals from universities, university colleges and publicly funded research institutions participated at the seminars. Most of the participants were managers or administrative staff working with human resource issues.
One of the objectives behind the regional seminars was to gather feedback from the academic research sector on barriers to researcher's mobility. A diverse selection of barriers to mobility were identified during brainstorming sessions at each seminar.
The outcome from the brainstorming is now available in a Powerpoint presentation (Norwegian only) which can be downloaded from the downloading section on this site. After the summer, the plan is to deploy countermeasures to the barriers to researcher's mobility.
