The Croatian Academy of Sciences and Arts, Zagreb, Trg Nikole Šubića Zrinskog 11, announces the following

CONTEST

For the post of one scholar (1 vacancy) in the function of scientific advisor, in the scientific area of technical sciences, field electrical engineering or computing. The working post is of permanent nature, with full-time schedule, with an initial four-month probation period, at the Advanced Technologies Institute of the Croatian Academy of Sciences and Arts in Dubrovnik.

Terms and conditions: In addition to the general employment terms and conditions, candidates ought to meet the following terms and conditions stipulated by the Croatian Science and Academic Education Act (Official Gazette No. 119/2022) and the Regulations on Terms and Conditions for the Appointment to Scientific Posts (Official Gazette Nos 28/17., 72/19., 21/21., 111/22.).

Special terms and conditions:

• Min. 10 years of working experience as of the acquisition of the doctorate engaging in tasks including scientific and professional activities in areas of relevance for the scientific research conducted by the Institute, as listed on the following webpage: https://www.info.hazu.hr/jedinice/zavod-za-napredne-tehnologije-u-dubrovniku/;
• Work address: Vlaha Bukovca 14, Dubrovnik. Remote work is not possible.

Documents to enclose:

1. Written application.
2. Proof of the Croatian or foreign state citizenship (copy of ID, citizenship certificate, or passport).
3. Proof of academic doctoral degree in the subject area and field (for doctorates acquired abroad, certificate of the acknowledgement of foreign academic qualification, issued by the Agency for Science and Academic Education, or certificate of the submission of request for issuing this document is required).
4. Detailed curriculum vitae, including data concerning scientific, professional and teaching activity, or as named in Article 10, items “a” and “b” of the Regulations on the Organization and Operation of District Councils and Central Committees (Official Gazette No. 3/2024).
5. List of publications and confirmation of indexing and citation of papers.
6. Publications/papers in pdf format – only the applicant's scientific papers evaluated pursuant to the Regulations on Terms and Conditions for the Appointment to Scientific Posts (28/17., 72/19., 21/21., 111/22.).
7. Description of the applicant's scientific contribution – only the applicant's scientific papers evaluated pursuant to the Regulations on Terms and Conditions for the Appointment to Scientific Posts (28/17., 72/19., 21/21., 111/22.).
8. Decision on the appointment to the appropriate scientific post (if the procedure has already been carried out).
9. Proof of the applicant's scientific activity as proof of fulfilling the terms and conditions for appointment prescribed by the Regulations on Terms and Conditions for the Appointment to Scientific Posts (28/17., 72/19., 21/21., 111/22.);
10. Foreign nationals ought to enclose the proof of the knowledge of the Croatian language (C1 or C2) in accordance with the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages, and the certificate on the acknowledgement of foreign academic qualification, issued by the Agency for Science and Academic Education.
11. Copy of certificate of no criminal record, issued 6 months previously at the latest.
12. Proof of inclusion in the Registry of Scientists of the Republic of Croatia or the Registry of Scientists of another country.

13. Proof of the required working experience.
