The IMDEA Networks Institute offers one fully funded PhD position in the area of Integrated Sensing and Communications for 6G. The successful candidate will contribute to ongoing activities of theWireless Networking Group, by advancing the state of the art and designing key scientific and technological enablers of future cellular networks to integrate sensing and communications. To this end, he/she will design new models and algorithms for localization and sensing procedures. All work will be carried out in the specific context of integrating the different components in a 6G open experimentation platform and demonstrate the potential of 6G for sensing and positioning services.

The position requires:

  • an MSc degree in Computer Science, Telecommunication Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related fields, with a solid academic record
  • excellent programming skills
  • experience in building systems and experimental work in wireless networking
  • fluency in written and spoken English
  • enthusiasm for interdisciplinary research.
