Maximum Duration Including Renewals: 24 months
Objectives
• Requirements and specifications for transforming and valorizing waste into biofuels
• Physicochemical characterization of waste materials
• Conversion of waste into bio-oil, its characterization, and assessment of its potential applications
• Steam reforming tests for hydrogen (H₂) production
• Participation in dissemination and outreach activities
• Scale-up tests of the biofuel production process by liquefaction and analysis of its potential industrial application

Selection process
Contest Evaluation Method(s)
Curricular evaluation weighted to 50% on a scale of 20 points with a minimum of 10 points needed for admission.
Carta de motivação weighted to 50% on a scale of 20 points with a minimum of 10 points needed for admission.
The minimum final grade needed for admission is 15 points.
Conditions for the Contest Evaluation
The selection methods to be used will be as follows: motivation letter and curriculum evaluation, each with a weightingof 50%. If deemed necessary by the jury, an interview may be conducted with the two best-ranked candidates, afterwhich the final ranking will be determined based on their performance in the interview.
