University of Zagreb Faculty of electrical engineering and computing hereby announces a public call for applications for appointment to the positions:

1. Appointment to the associate position of Senior Assistant in the area of technical sciences, field of electrical engineering at the University of Zagreb Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computing – 8 full-time fixed-term position (for up to two years).
2. Appointment to the associate position of Senior Assistant in the area of technical sciences, field of computing at the University of Zagreb Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computing – 6 full-time fixed-term position (for up to two years). 

The competition is announced within the framework of the Croatian Science Foundation program “Postdoctoral Research Projects (PDIP-2026)” as the first part of a two-stage process.

The second process is conducted by the Croatian Science Foundation. 

Candidates for PDIP project leaders apply to Croatian Science Foundation independently of the application for the relevant competition, completing the documentation requested by the competition. 

After the Croatian Science Foundation competition closes, Croatian Science Foundation evaluates the applications and delivers the points scale and the proposal for financing the project proposals to the institutions within the prescribed deadline.

In accordance with the above, the main outcome of the competition is related to the project evaluation process conducted by Croatian Science Foundation and only those candidates who are:

- positively evaluated in the competition of the University of Zagreb, Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computing (hereinafter: the Faculty) and 

- favorably ranked in the points scales of the Croatian Science Foundation PDIP competition,

can be employed at the Faculty and their projects can be financed.
