About the CVC

The Computer Vision Centre (CVC) is a CERCA research centre created in 1995 by the Government of Catalonia and the Autonomous University of Barcelona (UAB) and dedicated to research in the field of Computer Vision and Artificial Intelligence.

Computer Vision is a challenge for science and technology that, in order to meet the challenge, need collaboration between different areas of research, such as vision sciences, optics, computer science, mathematics or electronics. Research in Computer Vision, apart from helping to understand how biological vision itself works, aims to have a significant impact on people's daily lives.

The CVC, from the UAB campus, works to make the development of computer vision a key factor in the scientific, technological and industrial activities of our country.

Site Description

The Centre for Computer Vision opens a call for  applications for the incorporation of an AI Architect within the  framework of a part-time postdoctoral contract, with the aim of designing, implementing and validating an agentic AI architecture pilot in an advanced research environment.

The successful candidate will work closely with multidisciplinary research teams, principal investigators and technical profiles, contributing to the development of advanced artificial intelligence systems based on autonomous agents, orchestration of complex tasks and integration with existing infrastructures.

  • Define strategies for the orchestration, memory, planning and decision-making of the agents.
  • Integrate AI solutions with the centre's existing systems, data and pipelines.
  • Document the architecture, code, and results of the pilot for internal use and possible publications.
  • Participate in technical and scientific meetings, providing expert criteria in advanced AI architectures.
  • Explore best practices in ethics, security, and governance of agent-based systems.
