1. The competition is open to persons who meet the requirements specified in Article 113 of the Act of 20 July 2018 – Law on Higher Education and Science (Journal of Laws 2024, item 1571, as amended) and who satisfy the following qualification criteria:

• hold a doctoral degree in engineering and technical sciences in the discipline of technical informatics and telecommunications;
• have authored at least three articles published in scientific journals or chapters in scientific monographs or textbooks published within the last five years preceding the competition;
• have participated in scientific conferences and been actively involved in organizing scientific conferences at a higher education institution within the last four years preceding the competition;
• have at least three years of work experience at a higher education institution involving teaching duties;
• have not been subject to disciplinary punishment within the last five years.

Experience in conducting teaching classes (lectures, tutorials, laboratory classes, and project classes in the field of computer science).

Candidates entering the competition are required to submit the following documents:

• application for employment;
• copies of diploma(s) and documents confirming education and qualifications held (the University may request originals for inspection);
• statement describing the course of the candidate’s professional career;
• copies of documents confirming professional experience;
• personal questionnaire for a person applying for employment;
• declaration confirming compliance with the requirements of Article 113 of the Law on Higher Education and Science;
• declaration stating that, in the event of a positive competition outcome, the State Academy of Applied Sciences in Przemyśl will be the candidate’s primary place of employment;
• declaration of consent to the processing of personal data for recruitment purposes;
• information from the National Criminal Register (KRK) concerning offences specified in Chapters XIX and XXV of the Penal Code, Articles 189a and 207 of the Penal Code, and in the Act of 29 July 2005 on Counteracting Drug Addiction (Journal of Laws 2023, item 172 and 2022, item 2600), or corresponding offences defined under foreign law – to be submitted by both Polish citizens and foreigners;
• declarations concerning the country or countries in which the candidate resided during the last 20 years, other than the Republic of Poland and the country of citizenship, together with criminal record certificates from those countries issued for professional or voluntary activities involving contact with children – to be submitted by both Polish citizens and foreigners;
• criminal record information from the country of citizenship issued for professional or voluntary activities involving contact with children, together with a certified translation – to be submitted by foreigners who resided in countries other than the Republic of Poland or their country of citizenship.

The envelope should be marked:
“Competition for the position of Assistant Professor at the Institute of Technical Sciences of the State Academy of Applied Sciences in Przemyśl.”

1. Deadline for submitting documents: from 15 June 2026 to 19 June 2026. The date of submission is determined by the confirmation date at the Rector’s Office or the postal stamp date.
2. The Competition Committee may conduct interviews with selected candidates.
3. The competition will be resolved by 26 June 2026.
4. In the event of a positive competition outcome, employment will commence on 1 October 2026.
5. Applications that do not meet formal requirements or are submitted after the deadline will not be considered.
6. The State Academy of Applied Sciences in Przemyśl reserves the right not to resolve the competition without providing reasons.
7. The State Academy of Applied Sciences in Przemyśl reserves the right to notify only the selected candidate about the decision regarding filling the position.
8. A positive competition result is not equivalent to employment of the candidate and constitutes only a recommendation to the Rector. The final employment decision is made by the Rector.
