Offer Description
- work environment: Position available at the Institut Charles Gerhardt within Department D4 (Materials Chemistry, Nanostructures, Materials for Energy). The host team is equipped with state-of-the-art facilities for the synthesis, characterization, and processing of materials dedicated to hydrogen production and conversion. It also has recognized expertise in the development of electrochemical systems based on proton-conducting ceramics
- main mission: Currently, most research on high-temperature technologies focuses on PCE(F)C and SOE(F)C systems. Only about 1% of recent literature addresses hybrid systems, although these appear highly promising. Two main approaches can be considered for such hybrid systems with dual ionic conduction (H⁺ and O²⁻). The first involves the use of a proton-conducting electrolyte that becomes partially anion-conducting at high temperature. The second approach consists in using a composite material combining a proton conductor and an anion conductor. The HYBRHYD project will focus on the composite approach, with the objective of formulating, developing, and implementing high-performance devices.
- activities:
Design and implement synthesis strategies for hybrid electrolytes
Perform physicochemical characterization of materials
Evaluate material properties in relation to their intended applications
Adapt and optimize processing methods for material production and shaping/
Establish protocols to ensure reproducibility and quality standards
Analyze, process, and interpret experimental results
Contribute to scientific dissemination and valorization (publications, presentations, communications)
Ensure scientific and technological watch
