The Faculty of Business Administration and Economics at Heinrich Heine University Düsseldorf (HHU) is inviting applications for the position of a

 

W2 professorship for Business Administration, esp. Cultural Management

 

as of 1 April 2027.

 

We are looking for a candidate who is outstandingly qualified to represent the business administration subfield of cultural management to its full extent. In research, we require the proven ability to publish outstanding, relevant and internationally renowned contributions as well as the successful acquisition of third-party funding projects. Applicants must have proven expertise in business administrational cultural management research, especially in cultural marketing and/or human resources management in cultural businesses. Furthermore, the willingness to impart accounting and controlling related contents is desirable. Applicants should demonstrate their ability to connect to the empirical business research of the faculty.

 

In teaching, we expect engagement in the courses of the Bachelor’s and Master‘s programs in business administration as well as in graduate education in German and English. Considering digital elements in teaching is explicitly desired. In addition, we expect active involvement in academic self-administration.

 

Conditions for employment are, in addition to general administrative conditions in accordance with § 36 of the North Rhine-Westphalia University Act (Gesetz über die Hochschulen des Landes Nordrhein-Westfalen), an aptitude for teaching, exceptional competence in research, and additional scientific achievements.
