Offer Description
The Universidad de Las Palmas de Gran Canaria (ULPGC) invites applications for a Support Staff (PACP3, MECES 1) position within the research line "Additive Manufacturing and Biofabrication".
The position is associated with the research project:
“SCAFFOLDS DE FABRICACIÓN ADITIVA A MEDIDA CON RECUBRIMIENTOS PIEZOELÉCTRICOS Y FÁRMACOS PARA MEJORAR LA REGENERACIÓN ÓSEA”

The contract is permanent, financed until the end date of the research project. The successful candidate will work at the Integrated Manufacturing Building, located within the Science and Technology Park on the Tafira Campus.
Main Responsibilities
The selected candidate will provide support in the execution of the following project activities and experimental tasks:
- Development and characterization of 3D-printed scaffolds: Providing support in experimental tasks related to 3D printing and scaffold characterization.
- Application of piezoelectric ceramic coatings and drug delivery systems: Providing support in experimental tasks linked to optimizing the application methodology of ceramic coatings and drug delivery systems, as well as their subsequent application and characterization on the scaffolds.
- In vitro evaluation of coated scaffolds using mechanical stimuli: Supporting experimental tasks for setting up and preparing in vitro assays under various conditions, including non-stimulated conditions, ultrasound stimulation, and perfusion flow stimulation.
- Management, dissemination/communication, and intellectual property: Providing support in writing project deliverables.

Additional Information
- Contract Type: Permanent linked to a research line / scientific-technical services.
- Working Schedule: Monday to Friday, from 15:00 to 19:00 (37.5 hours/week).
- Workplace: Integrated Manufacturing Building, Science and Technology Park, Tafira University Campus, Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, 35017.
- Monthly Salary: €736.71 gross (according to the official salary table).
- Proposed Starting Date: 01/09/2026.
- Probation Period: 2 months.
The maximum score is 100 points. Candidates must achieve a final score of at least 50 points out of 100 to be selected or to qualify for the reserve list.
1. Research and Professional Experience (Up to 70 points)
- Contracted professional experience in competitive projects within the scope of manufacturing processes and related to biomedical engineering (3 points per month worked).
- Contracted professional experience in competitive projects within the scope of manufacturing processes, but not related to biomedical engineering (1.5 points per month worked).
2. Academic Training (Up to 10 points)
- Average grade of the qualifying degree (Higher Vocational Training Degree in Analysis and Quality Control Laboratory). The grade obtained will be converted directly into points.
3. Interview and/or Practical Test (Up to 20 points)
- If deemed appropriate by the evaluation committee, an interview will be conducted exclusively for the top 3 ranked candidates who have scored higher than 40 points in the combined experience and academic phases.
- Criteria evaluated in the interview:
- Suitability of the candidate's profile and capabilities to the job duties (maximum 10 points).
- Knowledge of the specific industrial/scientific sector where the activity will be developed (maximum 10 points).
- Copy of identity document (DNI, passport, resident card, NIE, or equivalent).
- Copy of the required Higher Vocational Training degree (including official Spanish homologation or equivalence declaration if obtained abroad).
- Updated Curriculum Vitae.
- Academic certificate showing the average grade of the qualifying degree.
- Supporting documentation for all qualifications, professional experience, work history report (vida laboral), and employment contracts claimed as merits.
