Objectives
To develop a replicable, data-driven framework for mapping global material flows through harmonized multiregional
physical input–output tables, supporting the assessment of resource decoupling pathways and sustainability policy
strategies.
Work Plan
The work will develop scalable methods for socioeconomic metabolism and global material flow analysis by integrating
international datasets, multiregional physical input–output tables, and environmental indicators. Using Python-based
tools, the project will assess production- and consumption-based material flows, resource decoupling patterns, and
sustainability scenarios through statistical and machine-learning techniques, delivering visualization, decision-support,
and policy-support tools for circular economy and sustainable development strategies
