Offer Description
Summary: There is an open call for one (1) Research Scholarship (“Bolsa de Investigação”) at Instituto de Telecomunicações, in the scope of project EURO-3C. This work is supported by the European Commission.
Scientific Area: Networks and Services
Group: Telecommunications and Networking - Av
Work Objectives: The work to be performed is: a) support the activities of the EURO-3C projects b) produce relevant documentation c) develop scientific contributions as relevant d) coordinate internal works and students associated with the project.
Place of work: The work will be developed at the premises of Instituto de Telecomunicações at University of Aveiro, under the supervision of Prof. Rui Luís Andrade Aguiar.
Duration: 6 months, with the possibility of renewal. This type of scholarship has a maximum duration of 4 years. Start date: September 2026 or soon thereafter.

Specific Requirements
Research Grants (BI):
- Are intended for carrying out R&D activities by students enrolled in a doctoral program, aiming to consolidate their scientific training through the development of research work leading to the respective academic degree, whether or not integrated into R&D projects.
- Are intended for carrying out R&D activities by master's degree holders who are enrolled in non-degree courses that are part of the educational programme of a higher education institution, developed in association or cooperation with one or more R&D units.

Benefits
Monthly salary: 1,359.64€ according to the table of grant amounts awarded directly by FCT for positions held in Portugal (www.fct.pt/apoios/bolsas/valores ), with an increase of 1,215.36€. The payment will be made by bank transfer.
Eligibility criteria
Senior PhD student on thesis writing stage as minimum qualification. The grant is maximized because there will be the need for spending periods abroad, mostly in Spain. Expertise in telecommunications software, and in testing procedures.
Selection process
Selection criteria:
a) 30% seniority of the researcher, measured as experience post-doc or proximity to its conclusion
b) 40% experience in previous demonstration and testing projects
c) 30% on overall software technologies relevant to EURO-3C activities.
