This project aims to develop ultra-small, ultra-sensitive mass spectrometry(MS) at the single-cell level using methodologies and technologies of microfluidics, which realize various functions in microchannels fabricated on substrates, and to apply it to elucidating the pathophysiology of intractable diseases such as cancer.
The selected candidate will be engaged in the development of microfluidic device fabrication technologies using 3D printing and nanoimprint lithography, verification of ultra-small droplet generation using the fabricated microfluidic devices, and the development and demonstration of a MS system combined with the microfluidic device.
※This research project is funded by Kanagawa Institute of Industrial Science and Technology (KISTEC), and the successful applicant will sign an employment contract with KISTEC and perform research at the Keio University.
