Offer Description
The Association Transylvanian Institute of Neuroscience (TINS) is organizing a competition to fill one position of Scientific Research Assistant (ACS), intended for a postdoctoral researcher, within the project “Mental health in a fast-paced society: A multilevel approach, from genes and molecules to brain networks and psychosocial systems”, PN-IV-P6-6.1-CoEx-2024-0139, part-time / full-time, in accordance with the project funding contract and the activity implementation schedule.

Skills/Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in a field that enables computational analysis of large datasets (e.g., bioinformatics, computational biology, data science, computer science, computer engineering, electronics, biostatistics, mathematics, physics, biomedical engineering, or related fields).
- Holding a PhD degree, obtained upon completion of doctoral studies.
- Programming skills (Matlab, Python, etc.).
- Ability to work with large datasets.
- Knowledge of basic statistics.
- Ability to work in an interdisciplinary team.
- At least 1 year of experience in research activities carried out within at least one project in the field of brain research, including experience in EEG data recording.
- Knowledge of English.
- Meeting the conditions set out in Law no. 183/2024 on the Statute of Research and Development Personnel regarding support staff in research and development activities.
Specific Requirements
- Neural data recording and analysis.
- Signal processing.
- Optimization and support for signal acquisition in laboratory experiments.
- Documenting, reporting and presenting results to the research team.
- Collaborating with members of the experimental team to analyze the acquired data and process it using computational methods.
