Offer Description

The Universidad Carlos III de Madrid invites applications for a part-time research training position within the project DISCO6G-CM – Development and Integration of Sensors and Communications for Advanced 6G Services, funded by the Comunidad de Madrid.

The selected candidate will contribute to the design of electronic circuits and printed circuit boards (PCBs) for the control and biasing of active and reconfigurable devices used in sensing and wireless communication systems. Activities will include the selection and dimensioning of electronic components such as transistors, diodes, switches and other control devices.

The candidate will also participate in the simulation and analysis of the designed circuits, including biasing, power supply and control networks, as well as schematic design and PCB layout considering signal integrity, power distribution, grounding, isolation and parasitic effects.

Additional activities will include the integration of control circuits with embedded systems, microcontrollers or FPGA platforms, as well as the assembly, bring-up and experimental characterisation of the developed prototypes using electronic and radiofrequency instrumentation. The candidate will also contribute to the documentation of the designs and analysis of the obtained results for their integration into the sensing and communication demonstrators of the project.

The contract is expected to run from 3 November 2026 to 2 May 2027, with a workload of 15 hours per week.
