  1. Master of Science degree in the field of biological sciences, forestry, environmental protection, nature protection, biotechnology, or related disciplines;
  2. Knowledge and publications in the field of biology and ecology of woody plants and forest ecosystems, consistent with the research carried out at the Department of Ecology;
  3. Experience in laboratory and field studies;
  4. Scientific achievements including publications published in journals indexed by Web of Science with a total IF2-year at least 5, including at least two published papers as a leading author (first author);
  5. Experience as a Principal Investigator or Co-Investigator in at least one scientific or research-development grant;
  6. Proficiency in English (speaking and writing);
  7. An additional advantage will be having an abroad internship or internship in a research institution in Poland;
  8. Readiness to participate in scientific expeditions and training (in Poland and abroad);
  9. Aptitude for scientific research and teaching as a research assistant;
  10. Submitting a declaration that after employment the employee agree to be included in the number of employees conducting scientific activity at the Institute of Dendrology PAS, in accordance with art. 265 paragraph 5 of the law on higher education and science;
  11. Submitting a declaration that after employment, the Institute of Dendrology PAS will be the place of primary employment.

Eligibility criteria
  1. Application letter addressed to the Director of the Institute of Dendrology of the Polish Academy of Sciences;
  2. Personal questionnaire used at the Institute (Annex No. 1);
  3. A copy of Master of Science degree diploma or its confirmed copy;
  4. Self-report (autoreferat) presenting the candidate’s scientific, teaching, and organizational activities, together with documentation confirming research achievements;
  5. Professional development plan for the next five years;
  6. Consent to the processing of personal data (Annex No. 2).

We ask foreign candidates and Polish citizens who have obtained a professional title or academic degree abroad to check whether the diploma they hold may be recognized as equivalent to Polish one.

Written information about the diploma obtained abroad, in particular about the level of education and the status of the university, is provided at the request of the person concerned by the Director of the National Agency for Academic Exchange. Information is provided on the basis of documents submitted by the applicant.

At the stage of the recruitment process, there is no requirement to present documents certified with the apostille clause, nor a requirement to nostrificate diplomas. 
These requirements must be met after the candidate is accepted.

  3. Personal data will be processed for the purpose of conducting the recruitment process for the position indicated in the announcement.
